Maynard’s Street Art Obsession – Reykjavik, Iceland

Reykjavik Street Art 10

Upon arrival in Reykjavik, my first question was, were there any surprises left for Iceland? Having just traversed the Ring road and seen all of Iceland’s natural marvels, I knew it would take something special to wow me. I am happy to say that it rose to the task. Reykjavik is the capital city of Iceland and houses just over one-third of the country’s 323,000 residents. From a city whose reputation as a hot spot for nightclubs is world-renowned, it had a lot of other surprises to offer us, especially in the Street Art department. Within 5 mins of being on the ground, we spotted several examples of exceptional work, and I continued to do so throughout our walk.
