We had seventeen days and a grand plan that had us traversing some 5,630 km’s (3,498 miles) and past as many landmarks as we thought we could manage. Road Tripping: Hudson River Valley – Part 1

We spent two days driving up and down the Hudson River Valley trying to see all that we could see. The valley was beautiful with rolling hills blanketed in trees and a river carving its way through the whole thing. The list of possible activities from hiking to art galleries and food choices from schnitzel to wineries were endless. Rain trailed us for a fair amount of time on our journey, but we didn’t let it deter us. Below are some of our favorites.

The pooch nosed open the door and proclaimed that it was time for his morning walk, and before I could wipe the sleep out of my eyes Glinda topped that with the announcement that we should head out on a road trip. Just like that our house became a beehive of activity while we packed, showered and chose a destination. Glinda had read an article that named 6 places to visit close to DC, so she asked me to pick a number between 1 and 6 and away we went. Chance had picked our destination and it was Frederick County, Maryland.
