Catching the world as it is, and not in some studio or with posed actors is why street photography is one of my favorite types of photography. Life is vivid, interesting, all around us, and most of the time unnoticed by its residents. This is where street photography steps in and delivers a raw feed of the world in which we live. I couldn’t have been more excited when Heather discovered Vayando and Jacques Nkinzingabo.
Kigali Photo Walk with Jacques Nkinzingabo
Jack (Jacques) leads a photography street walk through Kigali. What makes his walk so special is that Rwandans are on uncertain terms with the camera. A person, including a local, will most likely receive some apprehension or outright refusal when trying to take photos of people or property in Rwanda. Jack is on a mission to change that attitude, and you can help him. Join him on his tour and be an ambassador of good will. Be polite and interact with the amazing Rwandan people and you too can get a glimpse of what I saw. For more info on our experience with Jack click here.
